Tulfarris Golf Club was a hidden treasure that we found in Ireland as it was not really along the main road but it was worth the drive.

It was just mentioned to us and when we checked its Website and saw that it had a good package, we decided to drive back to Co. Wicklow all the way from Co. Mayo after playing golf at Westport Golf Club in Carrowholly, Westport.

Tulfarris Golf Course was an 18-hole championship golf course. It was recognized as one of the leading golf courses in Ireland having hosted the A.I.B. Irish Seniors’ Open Championship in 2000 and the Club Professional PGA Championship in 2003.

Tulfarris Golf Course was beautifully set on the three peninsulas overlooking Blessington Lakes. It was a parkland golf course with a stunning location and laid out on the natural terrain and landscape of the area.

Tulfarris Golf Course was another challenging championship golf course that we played in Wicklow, Ireland.

The fairways were not really that wide nor narrow. They were not that forgiving too. There were a lot of water hazards, bunkers and trees around the area.

The golf course was definitely lovely and we had some fun. But one round was not that enjoyable for the reason that it was raining and there was a flight ahead of us which was so slow.

The flight was not directly in front of us so we know that other flights in front of us gave up playing golf. The rain did not really matter but the slow pace of game was not fun when mixed with heavy rain.

But despite the rain and the slow flight, we did not give up and we were still able to finish playing 18 holes.

Signature Hole: Eighteenth Hole
