Hotels and Accommodations, Scotland Golf Vacation 2008

When we went to Scotland in 2008 for a golf vacation, we stayed in different hotels and guest houses. We even stayed in a university which offered holiday accommodation.

Lauderville Guest House

The Lauderville Guest House was a Visit Scotland four-star guest house and a Victorian town house with private parking which offered a bed and breakfast accommodation in Edinburgh. The guest house was just about five minutes drive from the city. It was located in the city but not in the city proper as Edinburgh was quite a big city.

University of St. Andrews’ New Hall

The New Hall of the University of St. Andrews with private parking offered a three-star bed and breakfast accommodation. The New Hall was just a few yards away from the famous golf courses of St. Andrews Links in St. Andrews. It was less than ten minutes walk from the historic center of St. Andrews in the Kingdom of Fife.

The Waterside Hotel

The Waterside Hotel was a privately owned hotel and a Scottish Tourist Board three-star hotel with private parking which offered a bed and breakfast accommodation in Inverness in the Highlands region. The hotel was located on the Ness Bank along the River Ness and just a few meters away from Inverness Castle.

Wellpark House

The Wellpark House was a Scottish Tourist Board four-star guest house with private parking which offered a bed and breakfast accommodation in Oban. The guest house was a Victorian home which was about one hundred years old. It was located along the Corran Esplanade and was walking distance from the city center of Oban in Argyll and Bute region.

Elm House Hotel

The Elm House Hotel was a family owned hotel with private parking which offered a bed and breakfast accommodation. The hotel was centrally located in the old town of Hawick in the Scottish Borders.
